From All Movie Guide: Peter Weller and John Lithgow star in this zany sci-fi cult classic The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai. MGM has done excellent work on this 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. The picture looks surprisingly clean with only the slightest amount of grain popping up in a few key scenes. The color patterns and black levels are evenly rendered and very well preserved. Overall, this is a great looking print, care of MGM. The audio is presented in a newly remixed Dolby Digital 5.1 remix, as well as Dolby 2.0 in French. The newly created 5.1 soundtrack is very expansive and full with only the slightest amount of distortion during some of the dialogue. Otherwise, the music and effects are all free and clear of any excessive distortion or hiss. Also included on this disc are English captions and French and Spanish subtitles.
