We are located on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, this flagship Borders Books Music and Seattle's Best Cafe is the perfect destination for tourists and locals alike. Our location boasts four floors packed with thousands of book, music and DVD titles.

Our main floor is our tourist hot spot and features local maps, guides and souvenirs. It is also the premier location to browse our extensive selection of new releases, featured titles, and best sellers. Travel, History, Politics and Government, as well as hundreds of titles of periodicals are also located on this floor.

We have a steady stream of author book signings as well as musical performances. We have hosted such authors and performers as Bill Clinton, Sting, Tori Amos, Kanye West, Jimmy Carter, Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, and Barack Obama to name a few. Check our events schedule to see who is coming soon, or call the store directly to reach our event hotline. Visit our front of store for autographed copies of dozens of titles at any given time.

Our lower level hosts our literature, business, romance, mystery/thriller, bargain books, and our huge children's department. Stop in any Tuesday or Friday at 11:00am for our children's storytime, hosted by Dominique and Amrah.

A picturesque view of the historic Water Tower can be seen from our second floor cafe. Also on our second floor is our Paperchase department where we have a premier collection of greeting cards, gifts, stationery, picture frames, journals, planners, and lots of unique gifts for just about anyone. Also located on the second floor are our Humor section, Arts and Crafts, Health and Cooking, Animals and Nature, and a fantastic selection of beautiful art books.

Our third floor is home to our music and DVDs, and audio books where thousands of titles are available. The third floor houses our event space overlooking the Magnificent Mile and is also the perfect place to browse CDs at our digital listening stations, pick up accessories, and make your DVD selections.
