Established in November of 1996, Strongsville is one of the longest operating Borders locations in Northeast Ohio.  Conveniently located just off of  I-71 on Rt. 82, we anchor the Borders Plaza across from the Westfield Southpark Mall.  Be sure to visit our Seattle's Best Cafe before or after a movie at the new Cinemark at Southpark. With its unique fireplace, our cafe provides a cozy atmosphere year-round.  The Strongsville location is also the closest Borders to Cleveland Hopkins Airport should you need a Sony e-Book reader or a magazine from our extensive periodicals section before a flight. 

Our knowledgeable staff has over 100 years of combined bookselling experience and would love to recommend some titles for you. We employ experts in literature, cooking, travel, science fiction, art, philosophy, history, children's books, British television, horror movies, and indie rock music, to name just a few product categories.  The times may be a-changin', but you can still find a vast selection of compact discs here.  In fact, music sales still account for over 10% of the store's business, and our general manager, Mike Sumser, has been selling music for twenty years.  He remembers the LP and the CD longbox and enjoys talking about recent reissues by artists like Artful Dodger, Love, Otis Redding, and the Replacements. 

Our community connection remains strong:  Kids Story Time has resumed on Wednesday mornings at 10AM, and beatniks and jazzbos will find comfort knowing that the Deep Cleveland Poetry Night and Rosario Cambria's Wordjazz are still clicking each month.  When not consulting for CBS TV's "The Ghost Whisperer," nationally known author Mary Ann Winkowski leads a monthly book club here as well. 

The community spirit pervades our selection, too, so don't miss the "All Things Local" displays.  Sordid tales of the Cleveland mob share space with volumes on Ohio birds and gardening.  Sports buffs are in luck since books for long-suffering Indians, Browns, and Cavs fans are plentiful. We even carry novelties celebrating local media legends Mr. Jingeling, Ghoulardi, and Big Chuck and Little John.
