A Message From Our General Manager, Dan Durica:
The flagship Borders store in New England is located in one of the oldest and most historic sections of Boston. The store is situated in the financial district directly across the street from the Old South Meeting House and right on the Freedom Trail. I always marvel at the reaction to my store from first time visitors to the store. They are in awe of the forty foot ceilings and majestic columns that adorn the first floor as well as the longest escalators in the city proper (according to the Boston Phoenix) that transport customers to our second floor, where you will find our selection of music and movies. Our store is a former bank, and the vault still remains in our travel & events area.
Our store is one of the largest bookstores in the area, and we are sure to have something to fit any taste or need. We have a very large magazine section, delicious Seattle's Best Coffee in the front of store and one of the largest History/Politics assortments in the company. Our Travel and Business sections are also extensive and reflect our customer's interests. We have a wide assortment of paperback titles that appeal in particular to our customers that make daily use of public transportation to and from the city.
My staff is very knowledgeable and will be quick to recommend titles that they have enjoyed as well as good restaurants or other things to see and do while you're in the city.
