85 million years ago, part of North America from the middle of the Gulf of Mexico up to the St. Lawrence rifted away from the rest of the continent and moved out into the Atlantic. Inhabited only by birds and lizards until it is discovered by explorers, Atlantis has its own ecology. Out of this wild settlement, The United States of Atlantis has been formed. But now, north and south prepare to take up arms in a dispute over the right to own slaves that threatens to tear the young nation in two.
